JVP Committee formally rejected language as the basis for reorganisation of states. Jawaharlal Nehru,Vallahbhai Patel and Pattabi Sitaramayya were its members.
Fazl Ali Commission broadly accepted language as the basis of reorganisation of states.
Thus,Andhra became the first state in India in 1953 with Kurnool as its capital.
