Lieutenant General JS Sidana has assumed the office of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers Corps as the 33rd Director General (DGEME) and Senior Colonel Commandant.

• He officially took charge on Monday, April 1, succeeding Lt Gen Tumul Varma.
• He has an experience of 38 years wherein he has held significant roles in command, regimental, instructional and staff appointment positions.
• Following his appointment, he paid homage to the valiant soldiers of the Corps by laying a wreath at the National War Memorial in New Delhi.
