The Biological Warfare as defined by the Merriam Websters Dictionary is use of biotechnological weapons and herbicides. The quest of dominating the world politics is the core idea of many countries. Based on the mode of operations many countries develop warfare system to prevent themselves in any untoward situation. The notion of developing Biological Weapon has gained momentum during the cold war era. After the tragic end of World War II, the world has seen colossal damages to the properties ,people , environment and society. The cold war started with the objective to establish the intellectual and military superiority in the world. The countries involved in the cold war has started developing biological weapons. The countries sent any kind of infectious virus through any means, which subsequently multiplies and culminates into pandemic.Based on the assessment of ancient happenings, the biological war traces its origin from the battle of Tortana where the opponents were poisoned by the king, in the quest of triumph over their territory. The evolution of this concept has led to gross human rights violations of the people across the world. The recent pandemic caused by the corona virus has resulted in terrible consequences. The data of WHO is shocking which says the death of more than 1 lakh people. The countries worst effected by the pandemic have been shut to control further spread. The world economy has toppled rapidly. The tourism, manufacturing, and other industries have been shut. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights under Article 25(1) provides for the healthy and safe life of the people in the world. This obligates the state to ensure a healthy and safe life of the citizens. The International health regulation provides the WHO should be immediately notified regarding any pandemic anywhere in the World.
