INDIA AI HACKATHON

IndiaAI in collaboration with Geological Survey of India (GSI) launched the hackathon on mineral targeting.

What is it?

• It is an initiative launched to leverage AI and ML to enhance mineral discovery and geological analysis.
• Aims to identify new potential areas for exploration of critical minerals like rare earth minerals, copper, diamond, iron, manganese and gold in pre-defined 39000 sq. km area in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
• Emphasis on locating unrevealed and deep seated mineral bodies with depth modelling.
• Generation of mineral predictive maps showing exploration targets visualized through maps, sections etc.

Prizes

• First Prize- 10 lakh rupees
• Second prize- 7 lakh rupees
• Third prize- 5 lakh rupees
• Special Prize of INR 5 lakh for all women teams.

This initiative aligns with IndiaAI’s mission to democratize AI adoption in critical sectors.
