- These guidelines apply to a range of vehicles, including two-wheelers, four-wheelers, goods trucks, e-rickshaws, and e-karts.
New Regulations:
- IS 18590: 2024: Focuses on the essential components of electric cars, buses, and trucks, emphasizing the powertrain, including motor and transmission systems.
- IS 18606: 2024: Targets critical components of EVs, highlighting battery safety and performance to ensure robustness and security.
