Indian shuttler Sai Praneeth B has decided to retire from international competition at the age of 31, citing ongoing struggles with injuries that have persisted since the Tokyo Olympics.
Praneeth shared the news of his retirement via social media, expressing a blend of emotions as he bids farewell to the sport that has been his passion for over two decades.
In a post on X, Praneeth reflected on his remarkable career, which included notable achievements such as winning the World Championships bronze medal in 2019, securing the Singapore Open title in 2017, and proudly representing India at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Praneeth reached a career pinnacle with a world ranking of number 10 in 2019.
