Rajanikanta Bordoloi (1866 – 1939) was an eminent Assamese writer and journalist. He was one of the pioneers of romanticism in Assamese literature. He is popularly known as Upanyash Samrat (the King of novels). Some critics also called him the Walter Scott of Assam. Bordoloi was the President of the Asam Sahitya Sabha in 1925 which was held at Nagaon.
