In a major achievement for Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (HAU), its Indira Chakravarty College of Home Science has secured the first rank among the state and Central farm universities across the country in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) released by the Union Ministry of Human Resource and Development for 2021.

A total of 1,802 colleges from across the country were assessed. Various criteria have been decided for the ranking by the Union Ministry of Human Resource and Development.

Colleges of science, arts faculty, social science and applied science under the UGC and ICAR were included from across the country. In addition to teaching and research, job placement, student enrolment and pass out ratio, teacher-student ratio, facilities provided to students, labs for research, budget for equipment and its proper use, research programmes and patents, etc. were the factors for deciding the ranking.
