Chamba to host paragliding event in October

Himachal Government has Launched in the series of “Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Statehood” under “Swarnim Himachal and Chalo Chamba campaign”, national-level paragliding and dragon boat race competitions would be organised in Chamba district in October.
The various paragliding competitions would be held at Khajjiar plateau, a scenic place of tourist attraction, while the dragon boat race would be held at Taleru on the banks of the Chamera lake in the district.
These all programmes were based on the 50-year development journey of Himachal Pradesh.
Various awareness activities would be organised in collaboration with various departments to make the younger generation aware of the ill effects of drug abuse.
