Haryana Water Resources Authority claimed that the fertility of one lakh acres of land will be improved in the state within the coming year, for which the first phase of land survey has been completed in 4 districts. Along with this, directions have been given to start the second phase survey in 5 districts of Nuh, Bhiwani, Hisar, Fatehabad, Sirsa.
The authority is working on a comprehensive plan on the problem of falling water level and waterlogging in various districts of the state.
For the convenience of the farmers and to get rid of the problems related to the ground water level in the state, a centralized water monitoring system is being prepared by the government. Through this scheme, the farmers of the state would get the benefit of diversification in their crops, due to which it would be possible to produce more than one crop in a year. This process will not only increase the income of the farmers but will also improve the soil fertility.
