The State forest department of Assam set up a Wildlife Health and Research. It will be be developed in Dinjan region of Dibrugarh. It will be the only institute in the country to deal with both wildlife health and research. Health centre for wild animals The Wildlife Trust of India runs the Centre for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation at Kaziranga – the only facility in India where orphaned and injured wild animals are hand-raised and treated, and subsequently released into the wild. But there is no research component in it.
