Context:
To commemorate five years of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, issued Letters of Intent (LoIs) to four international universities, allowing them to establish campuses in India.

Details of the LoIs Issued:

• Issuing Authority: Ministry of Education, under the leadership of Dharmendra Pradhan, during the Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam 2025.
• Participating Universities and Locations:
  • Western Sydney University – Greater Noida
  • Victoria University – Noida
  • La Trobe University – Bengaluru
  • University of Bristol – Mumbai (operations to begin from 2026)
• Programs to be Offered:
  Degrees in areas such as business, artificial intelligence, logistics, cybersecurity, health, and public policy.
  Additionally, plans include a joint Ph.D. academy and a 3+1 integrated undergraduate to postgraduate pathway.
• Alignment with NEP:
  These initiatives support the NEP’s objective of internationalising Indian higher education by fostering multidisciplinary learning, encouraging innovation, and building global partnerships.
