Maharashtra Logistics Policy-2024 approved by State Cabinet

The Government of Maharashtra has formulated the Maharashtra Logistics Policy-2024 incorporating an ‘Integrated Logistics Master Plan’ for the state, focusing on optimum utilisation of the existing and upcoming logistics network, strengthening logistics infrastructure and multi-modal connectivity.

Proposed by the Industries Department, it has been approved by the State Cabinet. The presentation was done by Dr Harshadeep Kamble, Principal Secretary, Industries Department. The brief of the policy is as below:

Key objectives of the Maharashtra Logistics Policy-2024

To develop more than 10,000 acres of dedicated logistics infrastructure.
To develop 25 District Logistics Nodes, 5 Regional Logistics Hubs, 5 State Logistics Hubs, 1 National Logistics Hub and 1 International Logistics Hub.
The cost of logistics to be reduced by minimum 5%.
To reduce the time taken for various interventions.
