Meghalaya was shocked by a magnitude 4.0 earthquake at 6:32 a.m. on Monday. According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), a measure 4.0 earthquake struck at 06:32:02 IST.

• The quake occurred at L 43 kilometers east-northeast of Tura, Meghalaya.
• According to the nodal agency, the earthquake was recorded at 8.37 pm at latitude 25.33 and longitude 91.91 with a depth of 10 kilometres. The earthquake was located 19 kilometres east-northeast of Cherrapunjee and 27 kilometres of Shillong.
