International Women's Day 2021

The International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated on March 8 every year, to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.
Official UN theme of IWD 2021 – “Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world”.
IWD 2021 campaign theme: #ChooseToChallenge.
A challenged world is an alert world. And from challenge comes change. So let's all #ChooseToChallenge.
The hashtag will be #IWD2021 and #InternationalWomensDay.
The first National Woman’s Day was observed in the United States on 28 February.1909.
The day was adopted in 1975 by the United Nations.
On this day, women are recognized for their achievements without regard to any national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political discrimination.
Purple, green and white are the colors of International Women's Day.
Purple signifies justice and dignity. Green symbolizes hope. White represents purity, albeit a controversial concept.
The colors originated from the Women's Social and Political Union (WSPU) in the UK in 1908.
