The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) said that Indian suppliers are the third largest provider of organisation’s health and ration support to children globally.  

• Leila Pakkala, Director of UNICEF Supply Division, recently visited India from October 7 to October 11.
• Her visit marked UNICEF’s 75 years of partnership with the Indian government, focusing on improving children’s lives in health, education, and protection.
• UNICEF, operating in 190 countries, relies on Indian businesses for significant contributions, with $6 billion worth of goods supplied from 2016 to 2023.
• These include vaccines and nutrition supplies crucial for children’s health worldwide.
