A life-sized statue of Sachin Tendulkar, the cricketing legend, was unveiled at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday( 01-11-2023), coinciding with India’s World Cup match against Sri Lanka.

• Earlier this year, the announcement of Tendulkar’s statue installation inside the stadium created a buzz among cricket enthusiasts and fans.
• As the inauguration approaches, the final touches are being added to this magnificent statue, honoring the maestro who celebrated his 50th birthday in April.
• The ceremony featured a prestigious lineup of dignitaries, including the esteemed presence of Tendulkar, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. 
• The sculpture, created by Pramod Kamble, a skilled painter-sculptor from Ahmednagar, Maharashtra.
