The Union Ministry of Textiles has approved a Rs.2,100 crore investment to establish India's first PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park in Madhya Pradesh, aiming to transform the state's textile industry and generate substantial employment opportunities.

Key Highlights:

• The PM MITRA Park will be developed over 2,100 acres in Bhainsola village, Badnawar tehsil, Dhar district. Its proximity to Indore (110 km), Pithampur industrial cluster (85 km), and the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway (50 km) enhances its logistical advantages.
• The park will feature a 20 MLD Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) plant, a solar-powered energy facility, plug-and-play Built-To-Suit (BTS) units, and residential complexes for workers. Construction is slated for completion within 14 months.
• The project has already attracted investment proposals worth ?10,000 crore. The state government anticipates the creation of approximately 25,000 jobs through 21 dedicated units within the park.
• A Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) will oversee the project, with the Central Government holding 49% equity and the Madhya Pradesh Government holding 51%.
• The initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s '5F Vision'—Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign—aiming to streamline the entire textile value chain and bolster India's export potential.
• This park is part of the broader PM MITRA scheme, which envisions the development of seven integrated textile parks across India with a total outlay of Rs.4,445 crore by 2027–28.

The establishment of the PM MITRA Park in Madhya Pradesh is poised to significantly enhance the state's textile industry, attract substantial investments, and generate employment, thereby contributing to India's goal of becoming a global textile manufacturing and export hub.
