The Nehru Memorial Museum and Library (NMML) located at the Teen Murti complex in New Delhi will now be known as the Prime Ministers’ Museum and Society. The Nehru Memorial Museum and Library (NMML) established in the memory of Jawaharlal Nehru (1889-1964) is an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. Prime Minister of India is the president of NMML

• The decision was taken at a special meeting of the NMML Society on Thursday, with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh presiding over the meeting as the society’s vice-president.
• The idea of setting up a museum dedicated to all the prime ministers of India at the Teen Murti complex in New Delhi was initially proposed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2016.
• The museum, which was opened to the public in April 2022, presents a comprehensive portrayal of the Prime Ministers' contribution to the nation.
