Prof Rakesh Singhai, the founding director of Shivpuri Institute of Technology (SIT) - a constituent institute of Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), an A+ accredited university in Madhya Pradesh.

• Prof Rakesh Singha belongs to Jabalpur.
• He brings a wealth of academic experience and expertise to his new role. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication from a local institution, followed by an MTech and PhD from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. 
• He succeeds Prof Renu Jain, who made history as the first woman to serve as Vice Chancellor of DAVV and leaves a remarkable legacy as the first VC in 21 years to complete her term successfully.
