Put q = 0 and squaring both side,
⇒ 1 – p² = ¾
⇒ p = ½
√[2p² + 2q² + 2pq] + √[2p² + 2q² – 2pq]
Put p = ½ and q = 0 here,
⇒ √(2 × 1/4) + √(2 × 1/4) = √2
