Indian Coast Guard Director General Rakesh Pal inaugurated the Indian Coast Guard Aquatic Centre at ICGS Mandapam near Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu, on Saturday( 5 April, 2024).

• He is currently on a four-day visit to the maritime force’s bases in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Puducherry, and made his first visit to Chennai to review operational preparedness and infrastructure development in the region.
• During his visit, the Director General engaged with officers and personnel to discuss his vision for ensuring safe, secure, and clean seas, as per a statement from the Indian Coast Guard (ICG).
• As part of his ongoing visit to the Eastern Region, DG Rakesh Pal also visited ICG Station Krishnapatnam, where he reviewed infrastructure projects and interacted with officers and personnel at the station.
