Rabindra Nath Mahato became the Speaker of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly for the second consecutive time. He was elected unopposed to this post.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren proposed the name of Rabindra Nath Mahato for the Speaker.

Mathura Mahato supported it. Rabindranath Mahato was elected Speaker by voice vote.

After being unanimously elected Speaker, BJP MLA Babulal Marandi and Chief Minister Hemant Soren brought Rabindra Nath Mahato to the chair and made him sit on the Speaker's chair.
