President Droupadi Murmu on Sunday( 31-03-2024) conferred former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) supremo Lal Krishna Advani with the prestigious Bharat Ratna at his residence. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also present at the veteran leader's residence.

• Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu were also present on this occasion.
• The location was chosen keeping in view the ailing health of Advani.
• Born in Karachi, Pakistan on November 8, 1927, L.K. Advani, who served as the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party for an extended period since 1980, had a notable political career spanning nearly three decades.
