Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan recently inaugurated a monthly stipend programme for junior lawyers in the state called the Junior lawyers Stipend scheme.

• Under the programme, which was introduced at an event hosted by the Bar Council of Kerala and the Advocates Welfare Trust, junior lawyers will receive a monthly salary of Rs 3,000.
• Only junior lawyers under the age of 30 are eligible for the Junior Lawyers Stipend scheme, according to a new government programme in Kerala.
• They must have less than three years of experience and an annual income of less than Rs 1 lakh.
