Young Indian shuttler Tanvi Sharma clinched the title at the Bonn International Tournament, a part of BWF's Future Series, by defeating Wang Pei Yu of Chinese Taipei in two games here on Saturday ( 1 June, 2024) In a match that lasted a little more than half an hour, Tanvi, ranked 181st in the world, won 21-19, 22-20. 15-year-old Tanvi from Punjab, who came into limelight after winning the gold medal at the Senior Asian Championships in Malaysia, came from behind to win over her opponent in the final set. However, there was disappointment for the Indian women's doubles pair of Srinidhi Narayanan and Radhika Sharma, who lost 21-17, 21-10 to Turkish pair of Yasemen Bektas and Zehra Erdem in a one-sided match.
