- 2024 marks the eighth anniversary of the Startup India programme, having expanded from around 400 startups in 2016 to over 1.18 lakh startups so far.
- The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry have marked an entire week as National Startup Week from January 10 to 16.
- In 2024, Startup India recognised 10-18 January as Innovation Week 2024 with the theme, "Celebrating 8 Years of Innovation."
