Wipro has elevated a company veteran of three decades as the head of its Asia Pacific business, weeks after terminating its first foreign CEO and replacing him with internal talent to undertake a difficult turnaround.

• Vinay Firake has been with Wipro for 26 years.
• He will become the next CEO of the APMEA (Asia Pacific, India, Middle East, and Africa) strategic market Unit (SMU), effective immediately.
• Firake was the senior vice president and managing director of Wipro Nordics, a business unit situated in Stockholm, Sweden, where he oversaw operations across sectors and services.
