Edava Basheer, the popular Malayalam singer, collapsed on stage during his live concert. He died at the age of 78 on stage at Pathirappaly in Kollam district on sunday (29-05-2022).

Basheer was rendering a Hindi song 'Mano ho thum' and suddenly fell on stage at the concert organized by the Blue Diamond orchestra of which he was a part for the past several years. He was then rushed to a private hospital at Cherthala but his life could not be saved. His funeral was held at Kadappakada Juma Masjid Kabarishthan.
