BMW Group has appointed Hardeep Singh Brar as the new President and CEO of BMW India, effective from September 1, 2025. Brar succeeds Vikram Pawah, who will now lead BMW Group’s operations in Australia and New Zealand.

Brar brings with him over three decades of experience in the Indian automotive sector.

• Hardeep Singh Brar will officially take charge as President & CEO of BMW India on September 1, 2025.
• He previously served as the Senior Vice President and National Head of Sales & Marketing at Kia India, and has also worked with Maruti Suzuki, GM, Nissan, Volkswagen, and Great Wall Motors.
• Brar holds a mechanical engineering degree from Thapar Institute and is an alumnus of Harvard Business School’s Senior Executive Leadership Program.
• BMW Group emphasized Brar’s in-depth knowledge of the Indian market and its growth potential, positioning him as a key driver for the company’s expansion in India.
• Outgoing CEO Vikram Pawah, who led BMW India since 2020, will now head BMW Group Australia and New Zealand.
