Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel launched the Jan Suraksha Santrupti Abhiyan to enhance the reach of key social security schemes and financial inclusion initiatives.

The three-month campaign aims to provide universal access to government welfare schemes and promote digital awareness across the state.

Key Points:

• The campaign was launched on June 30, 2025, in Gandhinagar and will run from July 1 to September 30, 2025, across all districts of Gujarat.
• It focuses on enrolling unserved eligible citizens into schemes like PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), PM Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Atal Pension Yojana (APY), and PM Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY).
• At the launch, Rs.2 lakh PMSBY cheques were distributed to three beneficiaries, and Jan Dhan passbooks were handed to newly enrolled citizens.
• Gujarat has opened 1.93 crore Jan Dhan accounts and disbursed over Rs.21,409 crore through Direct Benefit Transfers under various schemes.
• District collectors, banks, and local bodies will coordinate on-ground efforts using video conferencing and outreach tools to ensure maximum scheme coverage.
