Sonakshi Sinha, an actress most recently seen in the film "Double XL," has now been selected PETA's 2022 Person of the Year. 

• The Dabbang actress received the honour from the animal rights non-profit organisation in recognition of her efforts to prevent the killing of animals for fashion and her steadfast support for homeless dogs and cats.
• For the unversed, this year, Sinha participated in a PETA India campaign to raise awareness about the more than 1.4 billion cows, lambs, goats, dogs, cats, and other animals that are killed in appalling ways to be made into leather accessories for the consumer.
