India Launches Largest-Ever Tribal Empowerment Campaign: DhartiAaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan
The Ministry of Tribal Affairs has launched the DhartiAaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan, India’s biggest tribal outreach campaign to date. Aimed at empowering tribal communities through last-mile delivery of key schemes, the initiative is active from June 15–30, 2025, across over 1 lakh villages in 31 states and UTs.
Key Highlights:
- The campaign covers more than 1 lakh villages across 549 tribal districts and 207 PVTG areas, reaching over 53 lakh tribal citizens.
- It follows a Five-Pillar Model focusing on Janbhagidari, Saturation, Cultural Inclusion, Convergence, and Last-Mile Delivery.
- Over 22,000 camps are being organized to deliver entitlements such as Aadhaar, Ayushman Bharat, PM-Kisan, Ujjwala, Jan Dhan, pensions, and scholarships.
- The campaign promotes community-led implementation, involving district officials, tribal leaders, CSOs, and volunteers.
- It aligns with Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh, honouring tribal heritage and commemorating Bhagwan Birsa Munda.
