India’s Operation Sindhu continues to bring back stranded nationals from conflict-hit West Asia. As of now, 2,295 Indians have been evacuated from Iran, while the Indian Air Force (IAF) has flown out 326 individuals from Israel via Amman, Jordan.

The mission demonstrates India’s swift and coordinated response to ensure citizen safety amid escalating regional tensions.

• A total of 2,295 Indians have been evacuated from Iran under Operation Sindhu, including the latest group of 292 passengers arriving from Mashhad.
• The Indian Air Force (IAF) carried out two special evacuation sorties from Amman, airlifting 326 people from Israel—161 in the first flight and 165 in the second.
• The operations were coordinated through Jordan and Egypt, with Indian ministers L. Murugan and Pabitra Margherita receiving evacuees on arrival.
• The evacuation was triggered by rising tensions between Iran and Israel following recent escalations, prompting urgent action by the Indian government.
