The Government of India has appointed Dr Neena Malhotra as India's next Ambassador to the Kingdom of Sweden. 

• Currently, Dr Neena Malhotra is serving as a Special Duty Officer in the Ministry of External Affairs. 
• Dr Neena Malhotra is an officer of the 1992 batch of the Indian Foreign Service (IFS).
• Prevously she has served as the Indian Ambassador to Italy, the Republic of San Marino, and the United Nations Organisations in Rome.
• She did her PhD from the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) in New Delhi.
