There are two types of memory in computer 1. Volatile memory and 2. non volatile memory . The content of a volatile memory are earsed as soon as power is off. For Example RAM is volatile memory also called read and write memory . The content of Read only memory are non volatile. Its contents don't get erased even if power is off.
