The average weight of 15 athletes and three trainers is 60 kg. When four more athletes of average weight 63 kg are included in

the group, what is the average weight (in kg, rounded off to the nearest integer) of the group?

- The average weight of 15 athletes and 3 trainers (total 18 people) is 60 kg.

- So, total weight = 18 × 60 = 1080 kg.

- Four more athletes join, each with average weight 63 kg: total extra weight = 4 × 63 = 252 kg.

- New total number = 18 + 4 = 22 people.

- New total weight = 1080 + 252 = 1332 kg.

- New average = 1332 ÷ 22 = 60.545..., which rounds off to 61 kg.
