Bhartaul becomes first village in UP to provide RO water to every household
Bhartaul, in the Bithiri Chainpur block of the Bareilly district, has the distinction of being UP's first village to provide RO water to every household.
  • Bhartaul village is being equipped with 20 ROs (water purifiers) with Gram Nidhi after winning awards such as the Central government's Pandit Deen Dayal Uapdhyaya Panchayat Sashaktikaran and the Chief Minister Panchayat Encouragement award, each worth Rs 12 lakh (Village Allowance).
  • The village has a population of around 7,000 people, with 40% of them serving in the Indian Army. The village has 850 houses, 350 of which are owned by Armymen who are deployed throughout the country but live in Bhartaul with their families.
