The main tributaries of the Ghaggar are the Kaushalya river, Markanda, Sarsuti, Tangri and Chautang.
The main tributaries of the Yamuna are the Tons river, Hindon river, Ken river, chambal river, Sasur Khadri river.
The main tributaries of the Sahibi are the Dohan river, sota river, krishnavati river.
In Yajurveda - Saraswati has five important tributaries viz. Drishadvati, Satudri (Sutlej), Chandrabagha (Chenab), Vipasa (Vyas) and Iravati (Ravi). All these rivers merge to Saraswati to meet Sindhu Sagar (the Arabian Sea). According to experts, the Saraswati originated from the Har-ki-Dun glacier in Garhwal in Uttarakhand.
