World Environment Health Day is observed on September 26 every year to mark a day dedicated to creating awareness about the impact of environmental health on human lives.
The day is an occasion to recognise the impact of environmental factors on human beings and how a healthy environment is important for healthy living. Many environmental factors like water pollution, air pollution and soil contamination, among others could significantly impact the public health in a region or any country. These factors could be an outcome of human behaviour and exploitation of nature. So, it’s important to recognise the importance of a healthy environment.
