Sanjeet Kumar wins 91kg Gold Medal at 2021 Asian Amateur Boxing Championships

The 2021 Asian Amateur Boxing Championships was held from 24 to 31 May 2021 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Indian heavyweight boxer Sanjeet Kumar defeated Olympic silver-medallist Vassiliy Levit of Kazakhstan, in the 91kg final to win gold medal at the tournament.
He was the lone gold medal winner among the Indian men’s contingent.
The 19-member Indian contingent, including both men and women, secured 15 medals comprising 2 gold, 5 silver and 8 bronze.
In Men’s category, apart from Sanjeet Kumar, top-seed Amit Panghal (52kg) and Shiva Thapa (64kg) won Silver Medal while Vikas Krishan Yadav (69kg) and Varinder Singh (60kg) secured bronze medals.
