India Post signed an MoU with the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) and Tripta Technologies for facilitating the operationalisation of a portal called 'Bharat EMart', said the Ministry of Communications in a statement.

The portal will provide the facility for pick-up of consignments from the premises of traders. "It will ensure delivery at the doorsteps of the consignees across the country.

It is believed that it will benefit eight crore traders associated with CAIT," the statement added. The MoU was signed in the presence of Minister of State for Communications, Devusinh Chauhan.
