On May 3, 2025, Singapore's Prime Minister Lawrence Wong led the People’s Action Party (PAP) to a decisive victory in the general elections, reaffirming public trust in the ruling party’s leadership. The PAP won 87 out of 97 seats in Parliament, continuing its long-standing governance since the country's independence. This is Wong’s first re-election after taking over from Lee Hsien Loong in 2024.
